  1. Wow! No more kissy noses with my old yellow lab “Nicky” for me.

Jezebel is a real nail biter. One reviewer (Lisa) wrote “JEZEBEL is a fast-paced thriller that calls to mind Dean Koontz’s brainwasher thriller NIGHT CHILLS and Stephen King’s rabid horror CUJO.” She hit the nail on the head, That is a pretty good match up to me. I loved Night Chills by Koontz and Cujo was the only Stephen King that I have made it all the way through. Just take both stories and put them on steroids and add lots more twists, turns, romance, blood, guts, gore all with Kessler’s ability to put you right in there with them on the Streets of Wichita, KS.

It really makes you think about what may be possible with today’s technology and modern medicines. Mix all that up with a vengeful whacko and mans best friend, Dog.

Jezebel was Kessler’s first thriller novel and I feel that it ranks high up there with novels who’s authors have hundreds of books under their belts. I wonder how long he must have sat under the 44 foot statue of THE KEEPER OF THE PLAINS who stands on sacred ground between the Big and Little Arkansas rivers where they come together before he could in his mind set the scene to create a book like this?

    Awesome Book!

  2. Thanks, Tom! Your comments are greatly appreciated. Ol’ Jezebel has been around for a long time. I actually wrote it in ’92 and sold it to a publisher. That publisher went bankrupt in ’95, just as they were about to print 10,000 copies. I’m kinda glad they did, because I revised the book, made it more intense and polished it up some. You read the rewritten version actually “indie” published in 2001, then ePublished in May of last year.

I do have an idea for a sequel involving Tony Parker and Satan, Jezebel’s offspring, investigating the disappearances of dozens of bikers, joggers and strollers along a KC bike path. The case breaks wide open when an underground cavity collapses revealing hundreds of skeletal remains dating from recent to over a hundred and fifty years back. It’s going to be much creepier than Jezebel and twice as scary. What do you think?

One delay in writing this one: I’m focused on my E Z Knight reports for at least the next twelve months.

Again, I appreciate your encouraging comments. Thanks for spreading the word!
